Huntingdon West is likely to change dramatically over the next 20 years. Re-routing of the A14 and demolition of the flyover could offer tremendous opportunities for environmental improvement and new development.
The Huntingdon West Area Action Plan will help shape the future of this area. It will contain site specific proposals and general policies for development in this part of Huntingdon.
Huntingdon West offers the ideal opportunity for promoting environmentally friendly development providing homes, work and leisure close together, linked by excellent pedestrian, cycle and public transport routes.
Council’s Preferred Approach
This draft area action plan has been prepared indicating the Council’s Preferred Approach for future development in the Huntingdon West area, taking into account all the information available and comments made to date. Comments can be made between 29 May 2009 and 10 July 2009.
